AIA Academics
Advance International Academy offers a British Curriculum – Cambridge Framework. This curriculum is a challenging progressive curriculum to achieve the AIA mission and the educational goals based on the common core standards. A collection of high-quality academic standards outlines what a student should know and be able to do at the end of each grade. In continuance, for grades one to six, AIA implements the British curriculum using American books for the following purposes:
- The book is a complementary tool to the curriculum.
- There are more practice opportunities in the American Books.
- The professional flow of the information.
- Distinguished style of speech, colors, font, and pictures.
- Child-centered based
- Flexible-critical thinking skills.
- Focus on creativity and exploration
- A mix of hands-on learning and academic skills.
Regarding the middle and secondary stages, the curriculum fosters students’ skills and knowledge to achieve high scores in the IGCSE, using UK books that qualify students to pass the most widely-accepted English proficiency tests: the IELTS and TOEFL for university admission when needed.
Kindergarten program
AIA KG program is a developmentally appropriate, supportive, and secure environment that balances teacher-centered and student-centered activities. We value every student, allowing for individual differences. Playing is the primary vehicle for students to learn both social and academic skills. The kindergarten section embraces social and emotional development, as well. Students are guided to wait, share, take turns, and help one another as they gain confidence in their abilities and self-worth.
